The most recommended stocks for June, according to 12 brokerages – Mercado – Estadão E-Investidor – The main financial market news

  • The E-Investidor consulted 12 brokers to find out which stocks should stand out in the month of May. For the fourth consecutive month, Vale (VALE3) is among the most cited companies, with six nominations
  • PetroRio (PRIO3) and Suzano (SUZB3) also had six nominations each and are tied for the lead.

The Ibovespa ended the month of May up 3.22%, at 111,350.51 points. The main index of the Brazilian stock market managed to recover after a sharp drop in April.

O E-Investor consulted 12 brokerages to find out which stocks should stand out in the month of June. Vale’s shares (VALE3) have led the list of the most recommended since February and remain at the top.

However, they share the first position with PetroRio (PRIO3) and Suzano (SUZB3), with six nominations each.

Regarding VALE3 shares, analysts at Órama point out that commodity prices, such as ore, are on the rise at the moment, which benefits the action. “We see incentives on the horizon for infrastructure reform in developed economies, which will increase demand for ore in the future,” says the broker’s report, which cites the company’s robust semiannual dividend payout as a major attraction.

About Suzano’s shares, Ágora Investimentos analysts point out that the company is the main recommendation of the year in the pulp and paper sector. “We see a continuous improvement in the fundamentals in the international market, and Suzano recently announced another new price of US$ 30/ton for the Chinese market, effective from June, reflecting the more restricted global supply”, observe the analysts.

The shares of Banco do Brasil (BBAS3), BTG Pactual (BPAC11) and Petrobras (PETR4) also stood out, with 4 nominations each.

In the case of BBAS3 papers, Ágora’s analysts assess that the bank has presented a positive outlook for the year and should be able to maintain a low cost of risk. The brokerage firm chose to raise the share’s target price to R$45, up 13%. “The 1st quarter of 2022 presented a positive outlook for the year. The bank should be able to maintain a low cost of risk due to its more defensive loan portfolio, which has less exposure to individuals compared to its peers,” says the Ágora report.
