Renault Group Turkey Chief Executive (CEO), Hakan Doğu, stated that they are investigating the issue of selling refurbished vehicles (ex-factory second hand) in Turkey and said, “We are currently working on this. We renew the vehicles with the system we call ‘Refactory’ in France and resell them again with factory warranty. It means we are in the final stages, I hope we will launch it in Turkey.” said.
Doğu told Anadolu Agency (AA) that the Turkish automotive industry is one of the leading automotive industries in the world, at the Automechanika Istanbul fair held in Istanbul.

Doğu said, “Our industry, especially in the aftermarket, is extremely strong. As the Renault Group, we work with many suppliers in Turkey. We have already purchased parts worth billions of euros from Turkey with our 52 years of existence in Turkey.” said.

Pointing out that the companies engaged in manufacturing in the spare parts sector in Turkey are extremely strong, Doğu said, “Their only rivals are the Chinese, Asians… When I look at them, I am really proud. As a person who was born in this sector and gave his whole career to this sector, small companies are no longer It makes me very proud and happy to see that it has made great exports and has players around the world.” he said.

Hakan Doğu said that the Turkish automotive industry has the capacity to keep up with the electric vehicle transformation.
Emphasizing that Turkey has a very high capacity to keep up with all kinds of transformation, especially technological transformation, Doğu continued as follows:

“Just 6-7 years ago, Turkey was nowhere in renewable energy. Today, it is the 7th country that produces the most renewable energy in Europe. Likewise, we adapt much more quickly than developed markets, since 50 percent of our population is under the age of 30. “And our country is big. Since our country is big, if you own a vehicle, you spend a lot of fuel when you go from one place to another. It is known what the fuel prices have become. It is also known that there will be a very rapid transformation in the electric vehicle, especially with the increase in fuel prices.”
